JVC has put forth its new flagship model of the ProHD camcorder range, the GY-HM790. This JVC device adopts a modular design alongside a full complement of accessories. It comes with support for multicore or fiber-based production and also serves as a shoulder-mount camcorder.
The GY-HM790 comes with three 1/3-inch CCDs, enabling a lightweight and compact form factor for enhanced maneuverability. It helps produce 1920 x 1080 images and can records in 1080i, 720p, and SD (480i). Users can record 35Mbps (HQ mode/variable bit rate) or 19 Mbps/25 Mbps (SP mode/constant bitrate) while the camera also ships with Canon 14x zoom lens or without lens, accommodating various lenses with its 1/3-inch bayonet lens mount.
